Local traditional Easter Mummers' play

Easter Pache Egg Play. Performed by Furness Morris The play is a synopsis of plays that were performed in many of the Furness villages in previous times (late 19th/early 20th Century). Basically it is in the form of most traditional Spring mumming plays; a short, fairly humorous play on the theme of death/rebirth, with a fight between good and evil. The characters include Lord Nelson, Saint George, and Evil Knight and a quack Doctor. It is suitable for all ages. There is no charge, but a hat will be passed round.
